Possible compensation amounts

The amount of compensation you may receive to settle a personal injury claim depends on the severity of the injuries and economic loss you incurred as a result of the accident. The outcome of the case will depend on the circumstances of the case.

General damages cover compensation for injuries which you sustained in the accident. The amount of compensation depends on how much the injury has affected or will affect your health in the future. The compensation is awarded on the grounds of medical evidence and specialist reports.

Special damages are awarded to compensate the financial losses incurred due to the accident. These losses include damage to personal items, treatment and medical care costs (including personal treatment costs).

• Head or brain injury: £ 8,500 – £ 100,000 +
• Face, jaw or cheek injury: £ 1,000 – £ 50,000 +
• Arm or shoulder injury: £ 1,500 – £ 60,000 +
• Hand injury: £ 1,500 – £ 60,000 +
• Knee injury: £ 1,500 – £ 60,000 +
• Lower extremity injury: £ 1,500 – £ 60,000 +
• Trauma disorder: £ 1,000 – £ 75,000 +
• Hearing impairment or hearing loss: £ 6,500 – £ 80,000 +
• Whiplash injury: £ 1,000 – £ 70,000 +
• Back and spine injury: £ 1,200 – £ 100,000 +
• Hip or pelvic injury: £ 3,500 – £ 80,000 +
• Foot, ankle or toe injury: £ 3,500 – £ 60,000 +
• Vibration White Finger: £ 1,500 – £ 25,000 +
• Asbestos–related diseases: £ 5,000 – £ 100,000 +
